Leeds Beckett University has more than 100 years’ experience of teacher training at their Headingley Campus. The subjects being offered are Physical Education and Art and Design. You will find a welcoming and experienced course team ready to bring out the best in you as a future teacher. York St John University has trained teachers since 1841. We currently work with four Teaching
School Alliances to deliver a range of PGCE Secondary subjects. We work with the Yorkshire Teaching School Alliance to offer Music, Drama, Religious Studies and Geography. Many of the schools within our partner alliances also support our university-centred PGCE RE programme. Partnership is at the heart of the programme. The PGCE Secondary Partnership work together on all aspects of the programme from recruitment to programme development to teaching, learning and assessment.
